For this week's Funkin' Friday Night, we're taking a long look at 2 of the most popular video game series ever. Both are rhythm-based and both have a very distinct feel. Sonic The Hedgehog is a video game franchise from Sega revolving around the anthropomorphic hedgehog of the same name. Sonic first appeared in 1992 and has since become one of the company's main brands, competing only with the flagship product line, Sonic the Hedgehog. The franchise covers a number of different games produced over the years, including arcade games, console games, and computer games. There are also comics that serve as secondary vehicles to the main series or act as classic stories set in the same universe as the main series.
